TaiwaneseAmerican.org comes this story of the Dunns, a family in Georgetown, Texas. They are an American father and mother, Brian and Debbie, with an adopted Taiwanese daughter, Ellie. Recently they learned that Ellie's biological sister in Taiwan has also become available for adoption. The Dunns are now trying to raise funds to help raise Ellie's baby sister.
Below is the parents' heartfelt letter to TaiwaneseAmerican.org. To help with the fundraiser (several different gifts are available) please visit TaiwaneseAmerican.org's site!
Dear TaiwaneseAmerican.org, we are the Dunns (Brian, Debbie and Ellie) from Georgetown, Texas. Our daughter Ellie is Taiwanese and became a part of our family in 2009 after many years of trying to become a family. She has been the most amazing blessing in our life and we could not imagine life without her.
This past October, we received a call that Ellie had a bio sister in Taiwan who was available to be adopted. Ellie’s birthmother
We decided to move forward with adopting Ellie’s sister with the assistance from fundraising to help bring home Ellie’s bio sister. We know this is going to be a huge mountain that we have to move to make this happen, but with your prayers and God’s guidance, we know we can do this. We are so grateful and humbled by the outpouring of love, support and help with our decision to adopt Ellie’s sister.
Below are some of the fundraising that’s assisting us with this challenge to help bring home Ellie’s baby sister: We have AWESOME T-shirts, DELICIOUS coffee and a monetary Plumfund account to help bring home Ellie’s sister. Thank you so much for helping to move this mountain with us!!
We are so grateful and blessed with our newest daughter and we cannot see her not being a part of our family. Thank you for your help, prayers, encouraging words and being a part of something so great!
God bless you,
The Dunns (Brian, Debbie, Ellie and baby sister)
